It was an OK tour but I shipped over and went back to sea in VA-145 out of NAS Whidbey Island, Washington on Ranger. Think the skipper was a CDR Monk in 77, we also had the marines there. Had a Maj. Woods as our maintainance officer . Thanks to him and the shore duty mentallity and being a training out fit my first class flew away before it could be sewed on. But that was o.k. sea duty was a lot better than a training outfit..."
