"...MOYNIHAN, William "Bud" F...My father just passed away at 95 years old. Dad attended the US Naval Academy and received his pilot training at NAS Pensacola, Florida. Dad served with VP-HL-2 and flew the PB4Y-2 and PBY in the South Pacific during World War II. I am wearing a belt buckle that he wore in 1946 in a picture while standing next to his bomber on NAS Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. The buckle reads "Philippines VP-HL-2 1946 W.F. Moynihan." My Dad was a wonderful man who loved his country, the US Navy, both the sea and air. And he loved my mother and us children in a sacrificial way that I have seen in very few..."
