VP-741 in P-2V's at NAS Jacksonville, Florida during Korea with a 6 month tour on Malta. Was at NAS New York in VP-832, VP-834 and VP-839, all P-2V's. Was called back during Cuba in VP-832 and retired in 1966 with 7 active and 16 reserve. Found time to fly 33 years for TWA, retiring in 1985..." [13MAY98]

I was born on Staten Island, NY and attended NY public schools and Wagner College. I entered the USNR/NYNM after New Dorp High School in 1953 and was attached to surface battalion 3-27 and rose to RM3. I transferred to VP-832 in 1958, changed rate to ATN2 and qualified for crew status in COMM/ECM/MAD/SONO. In 1961 VP-832 was recalled to active duty at NAS New York, New York until August 1962. From 28 March to 24 April 1962 I flew with Crew-11 he flew patrols from NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I was discharged after deactivation and am now a retired PHD research biochemist and lives with 50+ years wife, Leah, in Mount Pleasant, SC since 1994..." [26MAR2010]
