NOTICE: "...I am attempting to locate anyone who may have known and served with LCDR Rodney Max Chapmen. We believe he flew with VP-19 (1960-1962) at NAS Moffett Field, California. He was lost while a member of VAH-10, Carrier Air Wing 21 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43). On February 18, 1969, he was the pilot of a Tanker Aircraft (KA-3B) on a refueling mission. His aircraft was running low on fuel and he tried to make it back to the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) but the plane fell into the ocean. His remains were not recovered. I am assisting his daughter Audrey in reconstructing Rod's VP experience. Rod and I were instructor pilots at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Florida (1962-1965). Thanks for your assistance..."
