EHRING, AZCS(AW) Michael Retired m5xjr@earthink.net "...My first tour was with VP-1 at NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii with a deployment to NAS Cubi Point, Philippines (circa 1977). Fond memories include "Pappy" Parkos, AFCM Crosby, The "Judge" Jackson, Laversia Williams (I will respect him forever), AKC Forchilli from Troy, NY, "Stretch," Chief Pringle, Vinnie Bonner, AZ3 Roberts (He wasn't half bad....but the WHOLE was LARGE. A good friend.), AM Bob King, AE Bob Taylor and I'm gettin' old so I don't remember our Maintenance Contol Master Chief's name right now, but he was a great leader who commanded and desrved respect. Got to work on those P2Vs for six months, beforeVP-92, transitioned to their first P-3As. My boss at the time was ADR1 Al Boissonneault, now retired CW03 Al Boissonneault. Young LT T. Keith, was our Maintenance Officer (now RADM S. T. Keith). Those were some good memories. Then I transferred to VAW-88, NAS Miramar, California, 1978-1982, back to VP-92, 1982-1987, then to VP-MAU, NAS Moffett Field, California, 1987-1991, one of my most memorable tours, and then my final stretch was with VP-68, NAF Washington, D.C., 1991-1994, out of which I retired. While in VP-68, I served as the 100/200 DIV Chief and the MC Chief. If any one wants to contact me, please feel free..." [E-Mail/BIO Updated 26SEP2009 | 04OCT2000 | 02FEB98]
