DAVIS, Gary c/o His Son Brooks Davis brooksdavis@libcom.com "...My dad was a crew chief on a P2V in VP-934 out of NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania just prior to the "Bay of Pigs" incident. Having just had me and my twin brother, he opted out and spent the remainder of his reserve career fueling aircraft for VAs and VFs (apparently he could have stayed with his squadron as he said his aircraft had such a poor proficiency record that they never got called to active duty anyway). Anyhow, he has since become a very able aviator holding an ATP and several types, and owns an aircraft charter/management company having 26 jet aircraft. One of his greatest regrets, aside from leaving his squadron, was never bothering to go to the quatermaster for his G-1 flight jacket. For his birthday, I am trying to reconstruct what would have been his jacket. I found a " NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania" patch on eBay, but can't find either a squadron patch or P2V patch. Does anyone know where I may find these patches? Thanks. P.S. My dad's name is Gary Davis, he was from Philadelphia..." [21AUG2000]
