A BIT OF HISTORY:  "...CNO's trip to Brisbane, Australia. Taken on 15 March 1997 at the Gainesborough Greens Country Club. Pictured are myself, Jerry Lankton, Brian Lundblad, and our host, Ian Rees. I teamed with Rees for 18 holes against the "yanks." It ended up a tie, 1-to-1, and we presented the trophy. We left the trophy in the Country Club in hopes of having a rematch in the future..."

A BIT OF HISTORY: "...VP-30VR CNO Detachment was formally called the Administrative Support Aircraft (ASA) Detachment. The ASA Detachment exercises control over the following functions: CNO flights; CINCUSACOM/SACLANT flights; CINCLANTFLT flights; and Foreign dignitary flights. During the calendar year 1996, the ASA Detachment supported the Chief of Naval Operations; the Commander in Chief, U. S. Atlantic Command/Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic; the Commander in Chief, U. S. Atlantic Fleet and numerous high-ranking U. S. And foreign dignitaries. Including: Azores, NSA Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Gallapagos Island, Germany, Greece, Guam, Haiti, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the Virgin Islands.
